WARRANTY/GUARANTEE

Nijdam has been designing and producing its products with the greatest care since 1896. In order to provide you the best skating experience we design and produce our products with durable designs and sturdy materials.
Nevertheless, no product is indestructible. In the unlikely event that a product is not satisfactory, we will gladly solve the issue together! You can read more about our warranty conditions and what we can do for you below.

WARRANTY CONDITIONS

Almost every Nijdam product has a limited warranty of 1 year from the date of purchase, except for Nijdam (stunt) scooters - read more about this in the separate section.
Our warranty applies in the following cases:
- In case of production defects
- In case of material defects

SEVERAL CONDITIONS APPLY TO THE WARRANTY:

The warranty of your Nijdam product is personal and applies when you report to us, in the manner indicated, within the warranty period.
- The warranty is valid for the first purchaser and is not transferable.
- The warranty is limited to direct damage to the Nijdam product, which means we explicitly exclude indirect damage and consequential damage.

THE WARRANTY WILL LAPSE IN THE FOLLOWING SITUATIONS:

- In case of normal wear and tear (wear parts such as wheels and bearings)
- In case of non-compliance with the user manual
- In case of improper maintenance
- In case of damage due to neglect
- In case of wearing an incorrect size resulting in an incorrect fit
- In case of self-made modifications
- In case of defects resulting from modification or repair by third parties
- In case of incorrect use / other than prescribed, intent or negligence
- In case of damage in commercial use

WARRANTY NIJDAM (STUNT) SCOOTERS:

Nijdam has been designing and producing (stunt) scooters for decades. So, we know what we are talking about and what is important to you. Our scooters are therefore designed for stunting and intensive use. This does not mean that our scooters are indestructible or have an unlimited warranty period. Due to the nature of this intensive use, Nijdam (stunt) scooters have a limited warranty of 60 days. In addition, the warranty does not apply to wheels, bearings and handles.

REPAIR

Nijdam products are designed and produced with the greatest care and are made of sturdy, durable materials. However, sometimes it’s possible that a product needs to be repaired. For example, if you have received a defective product or if your product has become defective within the warranty period. A product with a demonstrable material and / or production defect will then be repaired or replaced, provided that the product with accompanying proof of purchase is returned within the term.
To ensure the best possible quality of our products, repairs must also be carried out by a Nijdam service employee or one of our sales partners. When a Nijdam product is repaired within the warranty period, the original warranty period of the product remains intact. The choice of repair or replacement of the product is reserved for Nijdam.

SALES PARTNERS

Nijdam has several sales partners, both online and offline. If you bought your Nijdam product from one of our sales partners, always bring your Nijdam product with your receipt to the point of sale first. In this case, our sales partners are the first point of contact, and they can assess the problem or the situation. If the shop is permanently closed, you can contact us.
